About the Owner:

Brian Wortley has been fascinated by computer security since he was 8 and edited the newspaper image files of Sim City 2000 to draw fangs on those annoying city council members. Even before joining the IT industry, he’s tinkered with computers, networks, and security for most of his life.

In 2008, Brian worked for a managed service provider in Colorado Springs and had the privilege of helping many small businesses with their IT needs. He worked for a few nonprofit companies and developed a taste for automation, standardization and security. When he truly wanted to focus on security, he began working at Lockheed Martin. Seeing how the US government and military ran their networks, Brian realized businesses in Colorado Springs needed a scaled-down version of this security. Wanting everything he did to be for the glory of his Lord Jesus Christ, he founded Cyber Samurai in 2022 to help others with the security skills he’d learned. He’s grateful for the wide range of opportunities he’d been blessed with including the basic triage of helpdesk, managing people as an IT Director, and the urgency of military cybersecurity.

Certifications achieved: Certified Information Systems Security Professional, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Partner.
